Accessibility statement
Version: 1.0
Date of last review: 14 August 2025
Parkos is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. This means that most parts of our website and documents are accessible, but further improvements are needed to achieve full compliance.
What we do well
- Use of logical HTML structure and clear heading hierarchy.
- Alternative text for informative images.
- Keyboard navigation is possible.
- Responsive design suitable for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Known accessibility issues
- Navigation: a visible “skip link” is missing and the focus indicator could be clearer.
- Buttons & icons: some icon-only buttons lack descriptive names for screen readers; click/tap targets are sometimes smaller than 24×24 px.
- Forms: error messages are not always clearly visible or announced to screen readers; labels are sometimes missing or rely only on placeholders; autocomplete attributes are missing.
- Contrast: some buttons and text over images have insufficient color contrast; at high zoom levels (200–400%) text overlap or horizontal scrolling can occur.
- Structure & semantics: heading hierarchy is not always logical; lists, cards, and icons lack semantic structure or ARIA labels.
- Interactive elements: filters, date pickers, carousels, and modals are not always fully operable with the keyboard; focus can be visually blocked by fixed elements; focus indicators do not always meet minimum contrast and thickness requirements.
- Dynamic content: price changes, filters, and results are not always programmatically announced.
- Behavioral aspects: filters and sorting may trigger actions immediately without confirmation; previously entered information sometimes needs to be re-entered.
- Documents (PDF): booking confirmations and invoices may have a missing heading structure, incorrect reading order, and non-semantic table markup.
We are working to resolve these issues to achieve full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance and meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
